Samsung S1 Mini 1.8" External HDD Review

Page 2 - Closer look

Samsung S1 Mini is enclosed in a roomy box that protects it well. The product is clearly visible even with the box closed and on the side of the said box the colours you can choose from are displayed:

The back of the box supplies great amount of comprehensive information, and inside it we find the drive itself, 2 USB mini cables – one long and one short (very nice touch) as well as the device manual. We expected to find carrying pouch of some kind too, alas there was none:

The drive is inside a plastic case that is very well polished on the top side. It appears very massive and protects it well, but lacks any metal elements and that might prove a to be a problem for the cooling:

The surface on the bottom of the case is rough. On the picture below you can see the only connector of this device – mini USB:

While operational on the top side of the drive there is visible a blue LED that blinks when the drive is reading/writing.
