CeBIT 2009 3-8 March, Hannover (Germany), day 3

Page 9 - Transcend: Memory

Transcend appeared at the memory market about 4 years ago, with mostly budget oriented memory modules and slash drives, demonstrating shortly after a series of media players. The RAM modules gathered popularity amongst overclockers with the AXE-RAM line. At CeBIT 2009, Transcend showed all of their products - with the accent being on their DDR, DDR 2 & DDR 3 memory modules and since they are company involved in making memory modules they also showed their first SSD devices.

It is unusual for a memory making company to sell other kind of products, like portable hard drives for example. manufacturing process of hard drives is very different from the one of memory modules. The hard drives we saw were only from the StoreJet series. Also, visitors could see a great variety of flash drives, with different capacity, physical shape, speed and colour, there was even a luxury jewel series and even one with Svarovski elements.

Transcend have few series of media players, the most recent of which is T.sonic MP 850. Its capabilities could be tested with a pair Skullcandy headphones, which we already showed HERE.
