It is quite possible that for many of you Nanya and Elixir are not all that well known brands, even though Nanya Corporation is amongst the leaders in memory manufacture.

Nanya manufacture products for end users (retail) under the trade name of Elixir, while also being a serious player on the OEM market with the Nanya brand. If you ever opened a brand name PC (say, HP, for example), it is highly likely that a Nanya memory modules is what you found it to be using. Elixir for their part are targeted mostly at the end user, having better touched visual appearance and wider range of models, some especially intended for meeting the needs of enthusiasts, gamers and users needing top performance for professional applications. The memory modules range all the way from dual channel DDR2 (with frequencies from 667MHz to 1066MHz) to DDR3 dual and triple channel kits with frequency of 1600MHz at timings of 9-9-9 (which are a bit weak), but at 1.5V, that is the lowest possible for this type of memory.

Nanya, while not having (as it is normal for OEM products) all the sparkle of Elixir, still supplies the full range of products for both desktop and mobile computers (SODIMM). And their range spans from DDR2-667MHz all the way to DDR3-1333MHz with kits of 2, 4 and 8GB of memory.

We sincerely hope to be able to to review a DDR2 or DDR3 Elixir kits, in order to determine what capability they offer to go with the very pleasing prices.
