NOX Coolbay HX comes in reasonably large and colourful cardboard box, on which all of the special "traits" of our review hero are displayed.
There are pictures of the case inside and out - more or less all that you'll need to see in order to really make you ask the sales consultant to unpack it for further examination before grabbing it (should it's still on a shelf that is).
First thing you see after opening the box are presentation and installation instruction books. Both are quite useful, considering the stupid mistakes that an user assembling a PC for the first tome could make. The case inside is well packed and secured for the long journey from the far east. The chassis itself is wrapped in nylon for dust protection and then secured with plenty of polystyrene foam to protect it from even a 1-2 meters of free fall without damaging anything essential (assuming the cardboard box is not essential for you). The side panel also bears a layer of protective foil protecting the acrylic window from being scratched upon removing the case from the box.
Then again, the case doesn't usually come in that full as on the pictures above. It did however reached the Modreactor lab filled with one modular NOX APEX 700W PSU, that we've reviewed recently. With the case you get a box with mounting elements and cable ties, but not of the classic type, these can be used repeatedly. In the installation book you'll find decent guiding on how to reduce the cable knotwork inside the case thanks to these cable ties. There is something we must say about the provided screws too - except the ones that are for attaching the motherboard they're all black, matching the case exterior and interior and with big heads to be easy to operate without tools even - very useful!
And now lets get better look on the case exterior.
