Comfortability
One of the main functions of this type of hardware is to make your interaction with the laptop more comfy. The particular products provide substantial lift on the back, while the same cannot be said for the front. That much of raise for the front is initially a tad uncomfortable. But when you get used to it and after a mere day of working with the pad I removed it in order to feel the difference – I didn't last an hour before putting the pad back beneath my laptop. The raise from the back is more than welcomeо – it raises the screen up to your natural eyesight line. And even if you are using the bigger for 15,4” the comfort is the same, despite the sticking out edges.
As for the fan noise – they are very quiet, the noise is mostly due to the air swishing from the fan grills. But then again laprops are noisier than the pad.
As whole the pads from Revoltec's RNC series bring noticeable comfort in your interaction with the laptop, Now let's see hoe they affect its liveliness too:
Temperature
Tests were made with the fans blowing to the laptop (the other option was quite ineffective with this precise model laptop). Below we've listed the temperature values with both pads and without them:
Results clearly show that it matters not much which pad we'll choose (considering the testing was done with 15,4” laptop – otherwise you should go with the according model). Also the difference with fans on/off is small – within 1 degree. But we cant say the same for the difference between pad/no pad situation. Without the pad the temperature under not too much load is higher by – 6 - 8 degrees, so using the pad in long term could considerably prolong your laptop life. Basically the RNC laptop pads act as huge radiators below your laptop and cooling-wise are strongly reccomended.
